The completion of the pilot program will lead to widescale deployment of our market-leading Velocity solutions and deliver hyper-fast broadband – including 10-gig technologies and beyond – to their rapidly growing customer base.

According to Orange Vice President of Wireline Networks and Infrastructure, Gilles Bourdon,  “DZS was given the opportunity to become part of our ecosystem, and we are working closely with them to meet our expectations from today’s 2.5 Gigabit Passive Optical network (GPON), 10G (XGS-PON) and point-to-point technologies; in a context of heterogenous situations coming from the diversity of countries where we operate.”

Our Velocity Optical Line Terminals (OLTs) are environmentally hardened across the entire portfolio and offer extensive flexibility ranging from 1 rack unit (RU) fixed form factor access systems to 2, 6, 14 and 16-slot chassis systems. Complemented by our innovative system-on-a-card technology that is common for all systems, DZS Velocity empowers service providers like Orange multiple options to address current and emerging deployment and service demands in their network by leveraging world-class next-generation PON and point-to-point solutions via any service port across the range of DZS systems, including stackable options.

DZS Highlights at Network X

The news of our successful Orange deployment is perfectly timed for the upcoming Network X event in Paris, taking place October 24 – 26. In addition to highlighting our Velocity portfolio, we will also be showcasing other solutions from our access edge, subscriber edge, optical edge, and AI-driven cloud-based portfolio.

At the Broadband Forum BASe workshops at Network X, DZS executives will be sharing their vision and perspectives in multiple panel discussions. DZS Chief Customer Officer AEMEA Gunter Reiss, will present at Workshop 1 “State of Access Technologies and Evolution to Multi-Service Broadband“, on Tuesday, October 24 at the 12:45 pm. Additionally, SVP of Access Edge, Keith Nauman, will present at Workshop 3 “What’s Driving the New ‘Middle Mile’ Investment – Use Cases and Technology Trends“, on Wednesday, October 25 at 15:15 pm in the Broadband World Forum Pavilion.
